The Story:
On the lush slopes of Mt Elgon, a volcanic giant straddling the border of Uganda and Kenya, smallholder farmers in Bulaago cultivate coffee with deep roots in tradition and a growing specialty legacy. Volcanic soils, high altitudes, and abundant sunshine create the ideal terroir for producing exceptional coffee.

This lot is sourced through Zukuka Bora Coffee Company, a long-time partner working to empower the farmers of Mt Elgon. With every purchase, a premium is dedicated to funding social projects in the community, managed by JENGA Community Development. JENGA’s initiatives, ranging from clean water access to education sponsorships, are transforming lives and reinforcing the value of sustainable coffee farming.
