The Story:
Buf Café, founded in 2003 by the inspirational Epiphanie Mukashyaka, has become a cornerstone of Rwanda’s specialty coffee sector. With four washing stations, including the renowned Remera, Buf Café has supported thousands of local farmers, empowering the surrounding community and elevating coffee quality.
This lot, produced exclusively at Remera Central Washing Station (CWS) at 1,935m, offers a rich and fruity insight into the modern day potential of Rwandan coffee. The Red Bourbon cherries, dried naturally, deliver a beautifully juicy cup with vibrant blueberry notes and a smooth caramel finish, showcasing a coffee growing community striving (and succeeding) in producing coffee way above the stereotype.
